This position is responsible for coordination of an active communications program to assist in the development, growth and sustainment of all annual giving initiatives, while also supporting a myriad of University Advancement goals and initiatives as it relates to donor and alumni relations.
* Coordinate communication and solicitation strategies through best practices in crowdfunding, social media, email, telemarketing, direct mail, volunteer engagement, gift processing, data management and donor relations.
* Develop and manage a comprehensive communications plan
* Manage the Heritage Society program and collaborate with other Office of Development staff through legacy giving initiatives
* Assist in the management of all communication initiatives, including press releases, event promotion and registration, and digital and physical publications
* Support the greater development and campaign goals of University Advancement
* Provide timely and accurate reports for forecasting analysis
* Supervise Murray State Digital Engagement Center student fundraising program and implement goals, strategies, and policies as they relate to other annual giving initiatives
* Working evenings and weekends as required.
* Representing the University as requested.
* Serving as a member of the Development and University Advancement Teams.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Requirements
* Bachelor's degree.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements
* One-year professional experience in communications, sales, non-profit, fundraising or a related field
* Experience in communication platforms such as social media, e-solicitation or e-sales, and website strategies and initiatives is required
* Experience utilizing software for graphic design, digital and physical publications.
* Ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals, provide direction and motivation to others through communication, modeling appropriate behavior, optimism, and high achievement.
