Juniata College, an NCAA Division III Institution, invites applications for a 12 month full-time Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Communications, the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications will assist in all areas of media relations, promotion and creative content for the department, executing gameday production and hiring/ supervision of gameday personnel.Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Athletic Director in all aspects of media relations, public relations and other emerging content mediums.
- Design, implement and manage creative strategy and content creation for the department of athletics, including but not limited to social media, photography/graphic design, juniatasports.net, and other special projects to increase brand recognition, highlight student-athletes and engage constituents.
- Facilitate production of web stream for department through FloSports.
- Direct athletics communication gameday personnel and volunteers for each game hosted by Juniata, ensuring that all broadcast personnel, camera operators, statisticians and music operators provide a best-in-class experience for guests/viewers.
- Support the Athletic Communications office for major special events: Alfies, Hall of Fame, J-Club Golf Outing and all NCAA, Landmark and ECAC postseason competitions
- Provide design support for championship recognition and facility branding projects
- Hire, train, schedule and supervise student workers within Athletic Communications office
- Assists athletics communications office with updating of historical information and school records
- Work in collaboration with Juniata College's communications and marketing department, Landmark Conference and NCAA national staff as needed

- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years communications or creative services experience is preferred.
- Experience use Photoshop, InDesign and Microsoft is required
- The ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends
- Must be willing to travel for postseason (if needed)
