Position Overview:The Assistant Director of our childcare center supports the Director in managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, and providing high-quality early childhood education. This role requires strong leadership skills, a passion for working with children, and creating a positive and engaging learning environment.Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Assist the Director in overseeing daily center operations and staff management.Implement and maintain policies and procedures that align with state regulations and the center's goals.Support enrollment and marketing efforts to attract new families to the center. Staff Supervision: Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring teachers and support staff.Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.Provide guidance and support to enhance curriculum delivery and child engagement. Curriculum and Program Development: Collaborate with the Director and teaching staff to develop and implement age-appropriate curricula.Monitor and assess program quality and effectiveness, making improvements as needed.Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Family Engagement: Build positive relationships with families, providing regular communication and support.Organize family events and activities to enhance community involvement and parent engagement. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment. Qualifications: An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (preferred), or significant experience managing a childcare center may be accepted in lieu of a degree.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a childcare setting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.Knowledge of state licensing regulations and best practices in early childhood education.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and the community.
