Duration: Calendar Year (this position follows a 12-month schedule)

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville is seeking an Assistant Director to support our Facilities team!

The candidate will serve as an extension of the Executive Director of Facilities Management by providing both partial and primary oversight and management of the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Department, including but not limited to special projects, energy management, and low voltage systems. Depending on experience and qualifications, there may be opportunities to oversee additional areas.

The candidate will be responsible for the management and execution of campus sustainability efforts and programs such as the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS).

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Primary management and implementation of campus sustainability efforts

* Primary oversight and management of diverse workforce

* Develop department standards, procedures, and standards of work

* Coordinate, document, and submit regulatory requirements in precise conformance with all applicable laws and regulations

* Oversee multiple expense accounts and the minor critical maintenance budget, totaling more than $1M

* Coordinate with agencies such as NYSEG, NYSERDA, and NYPA to apply and receive available rebates

* Oversight of building automation, access control, security, life safety, and other low voltage and controls systems

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to job duties; or an Associate's Degree in a field relevant to job duties with 5 years' relevant experience.

* When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Large scale facilities management experience

* NYSEG, NYSERDA, and NYPA rebate experience

* Proficiency working in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

* Construction, building maintenance, and energy management experience

* Grant applications and SUNY procurement experience

* Supervision of UUP and CSEA Team Members

* Bluebeam software experience
