Job DescriptionPURPOSE OF POSITIONA member of the revenue cycle process, under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement and initiative, assist in planning, organizing and supervising the functions and day-to-day activities as related to insurance claims and denials, write-offs and appeals. Participates in implementations of polices, systems and procedures related to staffing. Supervision of personnel. Coordination, control, audit and review of required activities to maximize collection of all billings, in accordance with policies and procedures established by the Corporation.Areas of Responsibilities:•Commercial Follow up unit•Medicaid Managed Care Follow up unit•Medicaid and Medicare Billing and Follow up unitsEssential Job Functions:The identification of essential functions below is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned to this position, nor does it restrict the duties which may be assigned to the position within the revenue cycle process.•Manages the Medicaid and Medicare Billing and Follow up unit.•Manages the Medicare Managed Care Follow up unit•Manages the Commercial Follow up unit.•Manages the submission of Medicaid and Medicare Outlier claims.•Manages the documentation of all Medicaid and Medicare correspondence.•Manages and reviews the Bellevue Finance dashboard via EPIC to correct billing errors, identifies opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce timely filing denials.•Manages all Oncology and Infusion billing and follow up.•Acts as a liaison between other areas of Finance in working with staff on resolving WQ edits, denials and other issues that may arise.•Liaison between Patient Accounts, Patient Relations and Billing Inquiry unit for any patient billing complaints.•Works with Corporate in reference to billing processes, workflows and implementation.•Manages denial statistics and trends.•Manages an ADT/REG edits team for Medicaid and Medicare to help reduce aged AR, maximize revenue and decrease timely filing denials.•Participates in the development, recommendation and implementation of new processes and procedures in various areas to help improve productivity and collectability.
Minimum Qualifications1. Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline with an emphasis on accounting and financial systems; and two (2) years of responsible-level experience in fiscal management or administration with an emphasis on financial systems, management information and controls, one (1) year of which must have been in a responsible administrative or managerial capacity; or2.
