A healthcare organization in Maryland is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their ambulatory oncology service line as their new Assistant Director of Nursing - Ambulatory Oncology. The Assistant Director of Nursing - Ambulatory Oncology will:
- Oversee the infusion center, oncology urgent care, office practice, outpatient bone marrow transplant services, and apheresis
- Support the Director of Nursing in organizing, developing, and managing the nursing department within the assigned unit
- Oversee clinical operations, programs, and nursing staff in leadership or advanced practice roles, as designated by the Director of Nursing
- Manage professional support staff and ensure efficient operation of nursing services
- Participate in departmental and hospital-wide programs, committees, and initiatives
- Assume full responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Director of Nursing within the assigned unit
- Assist with program expansion and building
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
- 5+ years of Outpatient/Ambulatory Oncology nursing experience
- 2+ years progressive nursing management experience
- OCN Certification, Chemotherapy & Biotherapy certification
- ACLS, BLS, and Staff Development certifications
- Basic knowledge of regulatory agency requirements
Desired Skills:
- Master's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing
- Clinical knowledge and experience in infusion, Apheresis, Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) nursing
- Experience from an Academic Medical Center
