Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) / Nurse Educator Opportunity A skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, NY, is looking for a Registered Nurse to step into the role of ADON/Nurse Educator. - Collaborating with the Director of Nursing (DON) to manage and maintain high standards of care
- Leading staff education and acting as the Infection Control Officer
- Ensuring compliance and fostering clear communication with nursing teams
- Meeting the medical and nursing needs of all residents
- Planning and coordinating nursing services across the facility
- Staying current with nursing practices and theory
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of medical documentation
- Assisting in the hiring, interviewing, and orientation of new nursing staff
- Being adaptable to changing demands and maintaining a flexible schedule as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in New York
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in long-term care
- 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in staff education is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours
