The ADON supports the overall operation of the facility, assuring adherence to company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations, in order to promote the highest quality care for our residents and patients.Qualifications:Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):Registered Nurse in good standing with required current state license.Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.Experience in Long Term Care Nursing.One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience preferred.Must have a current/active CPR certification.Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment.Ability to work under stressful conditions.Point Click Care (PCC) experience a plus.Responsibilities:Responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):Meet the nursing medical needs of all residentsResponsible for coordinating infection controlResponsible for educating the staffAssist with compliance and ensure effective communication withal levels of nursing staff24 hours on callCoordinate and direct the total planning for nursing servicesMaintain a comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practiceResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of medical recordsAssist with interviewing, hiring and orienting of new nursing staffOversee daily staffing processMaintain flexibility with work schedule to address unpredictable needs
