Job Description:

Lucky Lab is a high-volume, customer focused brand of coffee shops that is quickly expanding in the Austin market. In growing our brand we are looking to add a motivated, experienced, get-your-hands dirty, hard-to-define-your-job description, do-it-all, problem solving right hand to our Director of Operations. This person would be in the thick of day-to-day operations, direct support of the management team, partnerships, vendors, customer experience, catering department, bakery and so on.

This will be an exciting move for anyone who has that go-getter attitude and is self-motivated. Many of your days will be unstructured but require a lot of thought, planning and organization to be successful. The responsibilities of the Assistant Director of Operations:

Management

• Manages the day-to-day activities of campus area cafes in accordance with established policies, guidelines, and procedures. Manages sales activities in a way that will achieve both short and long term goals of LLCC.

• Works in concert with GMs to implement the Company's strategy. Supports the promotion and success of LLCC's products and offerings.

• Participates in the development and execution of plans and policies for the company.

• Ensures that approved operation policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied within the company.

• Manages effective organization with appropriate infrastructure, systems, programs and methods to achieve growth objectives.

• Maintains a valid Food Managers Certification

Financial

• Assists in preparing sales plans and sales budgets based on broad company goals and growth objectives.

• Reviews sales results of the Company, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to meet or exceed expectations.

• Assists in implementing methods to minimize costs and improve efficiency of operations and quality of products.

• Works directly with GMs to ensure budget efficiency and that budget goals are achieved

• Initiates corrective action related to profit and loss factors affecting financial results.

Customer Focus

• Teaches, practices and preaches sustained excellence and exceptional customer experience across all departments

• Maintains a strong commitment to the customer and is committed to providing extraordinary service with the highest level of care and respect

• Works directly with GMs to deploy practices for speed of service and organizes employees to maintain the most efficient floor plan and deployment for serving customers.

• Interfaces with all departments to preserve and enhance the image of the company as a competent retailer of quality goods and products.

• Responds to customer inquiries and requests to insure customer satisfaction.

• Assists in managing relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Assists in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the staff in a manner that creates harmony within the workforce, and promoting an attitude that will ensure successful results.

• Directly supervises the General Managers in the campus area

• Reviews progress with the management team on a regular basis

• Works closely with the management team to assess present and future needs, trends, problems and opportunities for the cafe and bakery operation within the company.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the management team, working collaboratively with team members to establish performance expectations necessary to achieve success.

• Maintain and high level of motivation and moral; attract and retain executive talent and evaluate performance

• Supports new product development and implementation strategies for the Company and its customers
