  • Assist in planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work activities of a staff of Procurement Specialists and Property Coordinator
  • Exercise second line of supervision over classified/unclassified employees
  • Review and assign requisitions for processing
  • Process purchase orders and bids
  • Serve a Program Administrator for the Procurement Card program and run required reports
  • Serve as Property Manager of Fixed Assets and prepare required reports
  • Assist in preparing end of year Fixed Asset reports
  • Assist with troubleshooting Banner Purchasing and Fixed Asset issues
  • Stay current with procurement and property systems, rules, laws, policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adequately explained and properly followed by departments
  • Assist in staff selection and training
  • Serves on committees as requested by the Administration
  • Assist in representing Purchasing in the resolution of problems and controversies, and determines recourse where possible
  • Confers with and resolves problems that may arise among Department personnel and/or vendors to provide technical assistance to ensure compliance of all terms and conditions of the contract not resolved by lower level Procurement Specialists
  • Assisting in reviewing and submitting insurance claims for Auto, General Liability or Property Insurance claims
  • Review Special Event Requests
  • Assists the Director of Purchasing in the decision-making process and in maintaining and preparing required reports pertaining to Purchasing, Property, Insurance and Vehicles
Required/Preferred Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with at least two (2) years Purchasing and/or Fixed Asset experience required
  • Well organized and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job functions
  • At least five years of professional experience related to the job duties
  • Proficient in utilizing common technological software such as the Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.)
  • Experience supervising full-time employees, graduate assistants/intern, student workers, and other support personnel
