The department has a strong commitment to preparing futureprofessionals ready to enter the workforce as generalist social work practitioners and/or pursuegraduate education in social work or other disciplines. The Assistant Director is a 12-month position with multiple responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:Assist in responding to inquiries about the program and social work as a major, graduatedegree and careerManage Program budgetsTrack and advise social work minorsPlan and implement undergraduate and graduate workshops/professional programmingSupport program directors with conducting BSW & MSW student recruitment andprogram promotion activities on and off campusManage BSW admissions proceduresParticipate in Siena admissions eventsOrganize in-person orientation for rising juniors and incoming MSW studentsAdminister SWRK 301: Introduction to FieldCoordinate end of year academic celebrations for graduating seniors and MSW studentsAnnual Salary: $63,410.00The hiring salary above represents the College's good faith estimate at the time of posting incompliance with the Albany County Salary Transparency Law.Requirements:MSW from a CSWE accredited program (experience with college students a plus)Commitment to working effectively with students, faculty and staff from diversebackgroundsStrong organizational skills to manage multi-faceted dutiesStrong communication and presentation skills to display a professional image ininteractions with external and internal stakeholders, as a key representative of the SocialWork Program, the social work profession and the CollegeProficiency with technology - MS Office Suite, Google/Google Drive, social media, etc.A background screening will be required.Additional Information:Benefits:Siena College offers a generous benefit package to eligible full-time employees.
