Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role will play a pivotal role in meeting our hiring goals, scaling our recruitment processes, and driving initiatives that position NYSTRS as an employer of choice.The duties of the Assistant Director - Talent Acquisition and Recruitment include, but will not be limited to, the following:Manage, mentor, and grow a team of recruiters, talent acquisition specialists, and support staffEstablish a high-performing culture within the Talent Acquisition & Recruitment team, ensuring excellent candidate experiences and continuous development for all team membersPartners with the senior leadership team to understand and execute the organization's talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planningDrive initiatives for recruitment marketing and branding, and employee referrals, fostering a strong candidate pipelineCreate and implement programming to support employee career development and career-pathing optionsManages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Support recruitment efforts for senior and executive-level roles, ensuring top talent alignment with organizational goalsDesign a seamless, engaging, and inclusive candidate experience from initial contact through onboardingMaintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and talent managementDevelop and present reports on recruiting metrics and trends to support data-driven decision-making and forecastingMaintain strong relationships with hiring managers, acting as an effective strategic partner throughout the recruitment processAdditional Comments You must visit our applicant portal (Clear Company) and apply directly to the posting to be considered.
