Previous applicants are still under consideration.Position Vacancy AnnouncementFlorida A&M University's Office of University Housing is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Assistant Director, University Housing (Assistant Director of Finance) vacancy.ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Director of Finance reports directly to the Director of University Housing. The Assistant Director is responsible for the overall direction and management of fiscal responsibilities for the department; Prepares Annual Operating and Legislative Budgets with supporting schedules as required in preparation and administration of department budget; Coordinates and prepares all budget documents as required for the Office of University Housing; Responsible for evaluation, analyzing, and/or implementing fiscal procedures for the department; Serves as liaison with various entities and departments to ensure all federal, state and local laws in conjunction with university polices and regulations; Prepares reports for the Director's Office to include internal and external entities regarding data requests; and performs administrative functions assigned by the Director of Housing.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and four years of related experience; or master's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience.Recommended CompetenciesKnowledge of managing administrative and fiscal operations;Knowledge of office management, record keeping and performing a variety of administrative and organization functions;Knowledge of and ability to apply federal, state, and University policies and procedures;Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously;Excellent supervisory and managerial skills;Knowledge of supply management;Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include proficiency in PowerPoint and Calendars; andKnowledge of travel logistics.Pay PlanThis is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education.
