- Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Communication, Business or a related field.
- Two years of experience with Banner, or Admissions CRM.
- Experience with Blackbaud software.
- Budgetary/fiscal management experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Sr. Assistant Director with managing institutionally funded scholarship funds.
- Work with the Sr. Assistant Director of University Scholarships on new scholarship budgets.
- Monitor federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding scholarship funding.
- Examine processes for ways to improve access to students and ensure we are compliant with any and all regulations.
- Assist the Sr. Assistant Director in collaborating with the Departmental Scholarship Administrators (DSA) working group for all fund administrators and provide continual training to the group. Serve as primary campus contact to departments in select colleges.
- Collaborate to develop technological solutions to streamline business processes.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Assistant Director of University Scholarships and University Advancement on the identification of important scholarship initiatives.
- Support the University's vision and mission.
- Distribute University allocation budget notices to each awarding entity.
- Create a centralized and coordinated presence for campus and college-based scholarships to increase awareness of scholarship opportunities, including a robust website for scholarship information.
- Collaborate with the Dean's office in assigned academic colleges, University Advancement (particularly donor services), the Office of Admissions, the Office of Student Financial Aid, and the Division of Student Affairs.
- Collaborate with the Office of Admissions and the Sr. Assistant Director of Communications in Financial Aid to market scholarship programs to high school students and high school counselors.
- Assist the Sr. Assistant Director in overseeing the selection of the incoming scholars by managing the review process and serving as a guide for the selection committees.
- Ensure that University Scholarships follows the vision, goals, and plan of the Institution, and Office of Student Financial Aid and University Scholarships.
- Market opportunities to students, faculty, and staff while serving as a contact point for external partners.
- Help others understand the purpose and need of these scholarships.
- Other duties as assigned.
