This position will focus on developing strategic partnerships with department leaders, managers, and other key stakeholders to create a robust wellness program that meets the needs of all hospital staff. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Workforce Wellness Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and workforce needs.
  • Work closely with CWO to align wellness initiatives and programs with the 8 dimensions of wellness framework, as well objectives of ICARE, Kindness, and Joy In Work.
  • Coordinate the implementation of System-wide workforce wellness goals and objectives
  • Identify and establish partnerships with department and service area leads to promote a culture of wellness, kindness, accountability, and local ownership.
  • Provide guidance and support to service area leads on how to foster engagement within their teams.
  • Work with service area leads to address employee concerns and implement solutions to improve team engagement.
  • Offer coaching to service area leads on effective communication, feedback practices, and creating a positive work environment.
  • Collaborate with department leads to identify wellness opportunities for their areas and define intervention course proactively, during, and post-crisis.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategies to attract staff from all levels of leadership and disciplines.
  • Facilitate meetings, debriefs, conferences, support groups, presentations and other wellness educational programs.
  • Evaluate wellness program effectiveness and reach through impact evaluations, focus groups, surveys, and testimonials, making necessary adjustments for improvement.
  • Organize and participate in wellness events, activities, fairs, employee orientation & informational sessions to raise awareness of the hospital's mission and opportunities as it relates to wellness.
  • Stay updated on best practices in workforce wellness and employee engagement to enhance the hospital's strategic approach.
  • Assist on special projects and engagements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications1. A Masters degree in Arts or Science with a specialization in hospital administration, health care administration, administrative medicine or in public health when conferred for a program in hospital administration, from an approved college or university; or a Baccalaureate degree; and,2. One (1) year of administrative experience and background; or,3. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and,4.
