About the Role

We are seeking a versatile and team-oriented Assistant Engineer in the Electrical Group at our Endwell, NY office. This is an entry level position. The Candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience. An EIT is preferred. Experience with REVIT is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Using methods recommended by senior project team members, perform work which involves conventional types of electrical plans, field investigations, and design.
  • Is expected to try to solve engineering problems using experience, judgment and education, but is expected to ask for assistance when required.
  • Be proficient in the use of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, Revit, and CADD. Become proficient in Group design software(s).
  • Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, engineering documents, details, schedules or reports as assigned.
  • Attend client meetings/presentations – daytime or evenings.
  • Communicate with client representatives, contractors, suppliers, etc.
  • Serve on field inspection teams to obtain and document existing conditions using field notes, sketches, and photography.
  • Develop quantity take offs and construction cost estimates.
  • Participate in site visits/inspections/documentation during construction

Pay range and compensation package

Hiring Salary Range: $59,000-65,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities along with an internal equity and alignment with market area data.)
