Innovation.Job Description:This part time 20-hour position will assist in the program responsibilities at the Advanced Life Support level.Responsibilities:* Assist in maintaining NYS DOH Certification Course Sponsorship.* Assist in maintaining the Policy and Procedure Manual* Assist in maintaining the Student Program Handbook* Assist in maintaining Affiliation Agreements for Clinical sites* Oversight of instructor and student files for all ALS classes; BLS classes when needed* Assist new Paramedic Instructors with course set-up, paperwork etc., as needed* Interact with ALS students and faculty.* Maintain and update skills competency book for paramedic students.* Assist students in tracking skills in database and counseling them on meeting completion goals and deadlines.* Create yearly lab course shell in database and manage instructor access and approvals.* Track affective domain assessment for each class and each student.* Assist in developing and maintaining the scenarios utilized in the BLS Clinical, midway and summary practical stations.* Staff and set-up the BLS Clinical Practical, Midway Practical, Summary Practical and National Registry Practical exams.* Maintain curriculum consistency between courses.* Review and update extended course outlines as needed.* Review ALS course files at the end of each semester and assist with BLS course files as needed.* Assist in writing and maintaining accreditation.* Attend and occasionally run instructor meetings.* Assist in preparation for open house, recruitment initiatives, etc.* Substitute for Paramedic Instructors as needed.* Assist with reference checks and interviews of new lab instructors and other new hires.* Attend meetings at the request of the Program Director or when Program Director is unavailable.* Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Credentials:* Paramedic with at least three years of field experience.* Bachelor's Degree.* NYS Advanced Life Support Instructor Coordinator Certificate. (ALS CIC)* Instructor credentials for ACLS, PALS, PHTLS and AMLS highly recommended, but will train upon hiring.* One year supervisory experience is a plus.* Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets and databases is a must.Additional Information:This is a permanent, part-time position up to 20 hours per week.Classification/SalaryClass: Part-time Non-Teaching EducatorHourly Rate: $26.79 - $31.45 per hourAll applicants are subject to a background check to include criminal, employment, and education.Dutchess Community College is an AA/EOE employer.
