Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York provides programs and services for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Located at our main campus in Red Hook, NY, this position forwards Devereux mission and ensures that Devereux New York services are meeting the Devereux Family Standard. They will assist in the operation, administration, and monitoring of all the programs and facilities to effectively sustain inter-departmental and statewide program functioning. The Assistant Executive Director will assume responsibility of Devereux New York Operations in the absence of the Executive Director. They will develop policies and operating procedures in compliance with organizational policies, subject to approval of the Executive Director and Operations team. This position will represent the Devereux New York programs to ensure that appropriate state agency regulations/licenses and professional accreditation requirements needed to operate are present. They will be familiar with necessary regulatory requirements and ensure that Devereuxs organizational initiatives and standards are met with fidelity. This position will also assist in the preparation and development of Devereux New Yorks operational and capital budget, including breakdown of expenses, and will administer the budget as approved by the Executive Director.

Starting Salary: $120,000.00 annually

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: M.A., M.S., M.B.A. in Administration, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education or related field preferred. B.A. or B.S. degree required.

EXPERIENCE: At least five years experience in a supervisory position within a Health Care setting serving an IDD population. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to deal with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and flexible manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Free of dependency and abuse of illegal or illicit drugs, alcohol, inhalants, or other chemical or controlled substances. Significant, prolonged, and frequent amounts of walking, standing, sitting, stooping, bending and lifting of 20 lbs. or more is required
