  • Oversight of membership department, including program services, member services, adult hockey, disabled hockey and diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with USA Hockey's volunteer leaders
  • Work internally with other departments to develop a consistent and coordinated approach to promote growth of the game
  • Work with volunteer leaders, including affiliate presidents, to organize annual national membership growth events
  • Develop relationships with and work with district and affiliate leadership in a proactive way to assist them in growing hockey participation in their areas
  • Leverage and analyze membership data to efficiently promote growth in participation
  • Oversee operations of initiatives and educational programs including, but not limited to; Try Hockey For Free, Welcome Back Week, Girls' Hockey Weekend, Learn to Play, the Hattrick Growth Challenge, Hockey Director Administrator Track, Leadership Development Symposiums, and Club Excellence
  • Work collaboratively as part of USA Hockey's senior leadership team
  • Maintain relationships with key partners including the National Hockey League and its member clubs
  • Oversee and manage budgets, scheduling, communications, staff management, and logistics
  • Represent USA Hockey at domestic and international hockey events as needed
  • Direct, nurture, build and lead a highly efficient and effective team of professionals
  • Provide executive leadership for all company initiatives and special projects as assigned by the Executive Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least five years of experience in a leadership role in hockey
  • Track record as a successful hockey executive
  • Knowledge of USA Hockey programs and organizational structure
  • Successful people management and supervisory experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; strong presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highest level of integrity
  • Ability to succeed in pressure-filled work situations
  • Highly motivated and willing to work off hours, weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to travel considerably, including internationally
  • Bachelor's degree required
SALARY
  • Salary range $140,000-175,000
  • Full-time, exempt, includes USA Hockey benefits package
  • Twelve (12) paid holidays plus a summer break, 10 days of vacation, 7 days of sick leave, 2 personal days per year
  • Health, dental and vision insurance plans with minimal co-pay. We pay a substantial amount of the health insurance premiums
  • Life insurance and long-term disability insurance are company paid
