As an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. JOB TITLE: Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Responsibilities
The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and controlling the work of employees in the Room Service and Banquet Department while ensuring guest satisfaction.
* Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel's Room Service and Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
* Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
* Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
* Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory and control.
* Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
* Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
* Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
We are looking for an individual who poses solid interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations and serve as role model for others by demonstrating appropriate business conduct and ethical principles.
We are looking for candidates who are proactive, have a technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
This position involves a heavy volume of organizational skill and ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills. Sun, ADP and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
