The Assistant Food Service Administrator works in close proximity to detainee population and under the direction of the Deputy Project Manager. The Assistant Food Service Administrator will act independently or assist in the performance of any and all duties necessary to keep the facility in full operation. Will perform other duties as assigned. The Assistant Food Service Administrator assist the Food Services Administrator in overseeing and directing the day-to-day operations in the food service area. Is responsible for providing supervision, technical guidance, training and quality assurance for the Cook II, Cook I and Food Service Workers. They should not be construed as a complete list of the various duties normally performed by the support services manager or those to be performed temporarily outside the managers' normal line of work.To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!ResponsibilitiesSupervises, directs, and schedules Cook II, Cook I and Food Service WorkersMakes recommendations to the Deputy Project Manager on Staffing, promotions, discipline and purchasingImplements detainee training program in the food service areaDoes all ordering of food and other related materials and equipment following company proceduresPrepares and submits reports in functional areas on time and accuratelySupports the Quality Control Plan, PBNDS and ACARecommends changes in functional area plans and policiesIs responsible for an accurate food inventory programMaintains a 35-day cycle menu, that meets all dietary requirements for regular, vegetarian and all medical dietsEstablishes a cleaning schedule which provides for the most thorough cleaning of the kitchen facilities within the time frames allottedReports and maintains budgetAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesQualificationsA high school diploma or GED is requiredAt least three years' experience at supervisory or management level in institutional custodial or military hospital or dining facility managementMust have experience in purchasing and have experience training and evaluating staffMust have inter/intra communication skills with employees and department headsMust be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with detainee populationWork areas may include all areas of the facilityMay be exposed to cleaning chemicals and solventsMay work in close proximity to steam or gas ovens that produce intense heatMust be at least 21 years of ageMust be able to pass extensive background investigation and drug testingThis position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing as part of a drug-free workplace policy, including marijuana usageThis position requires the candidate to be a US citizen, or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five yearsThis position requires you to be able to read, speak, write and understand EnglishPhysical Demands:May lift or push up to 50 lbsFor extended periods of time may be required to stand or walk; push or pull heavy equipmentPay Range62,000-65,000BenefitsRegular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
