Thank you for your interest in employment with Southeastern Louisiana University.Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. The successful candidate will assist the Head Coach with all phases of a Division 1 intercollegiate football program including instruction and training of student-athletes in on-court operations, physical and mental player development, motivation, mentorship, instilling disciplines and development technical skills through quality practice and excellent communication. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and communicate in-depth knowledge of the medical and strength and conditioning profiles of student-athletesCommitment to the academic and athletic progress and performance of the individual student-athletes and the teamCollaborate with the Head Coach in the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of prospective student-athletesDevelop team strategies and individual player developmentDevelop and maintain excellent working relationships with coaching staff and other university personnel. Maintain a professional and positive image of Southeastern Athletics, specifically the football programFollow established departmental policies and procedures Commitment to work with diversityAbility to work nights/evening, weekends and holidayOther duties as assigned by the Head Football CoachREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree from an accredited university.
