Job Type Full-time Description Department: Property / Site Management Location: Athens, GA Property: Atlas Athens Reports To: General Manager Summary As an Assistant General Manager, you'll be the backbone of our thriving organization by ensuring proper and accurate upkeep of all resident ledgers and records to promote financial success. But it's not just about numbers-it's about people. You'll be an integral part of our team, interacting with current and prospective residents promoting exceptional hospitality with every encounter. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping/accounting skills and has experience in Student Housing or Multi-Family Home sector. What You'll Do:

  • Accurately monitor fees - post all resident charges, ensure rents are collected and posted, monitor delinquencies, and post all utility bill backs and revert fees per policy compliance.
  • Keep up to date financials - ensure bank deposits are made and reported accurately, accept checks, money orders, and certified checks, and manage collections per policy, daily.
  • Execute all Notices to Vacate - work with local and corporate legal departments to enforce evictions as needed and perform lease re-leases and communicate with appropriate corporate staff in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Lend a helping hand - assist general manager and facilities manager and perform leasing duties during turn process as needed.
  • Review reports - manage all daily, weekly, and monthly reports and activities associated with the position; Submit required report to immediate supervisor and corporate management as requested.

Who You Are:
  • Has an associate degree (focus in accounting or related field), or an equivalent combination of education and experience required and a valid driver's license.
  • Required - Previous exposure to bookkeeping, collections, and ledgers, minimum of 1-year previous experience in Student Housing or Multi-Family Housing Industry or 1-year previous experience Assistant General Manager experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO), property management software, MS Office, and proficient math and computation skills.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Office work environment requiring routine use of standard office equipment, primarily inside and sedentary but occasionally outside involving walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work one weekend per month.
