Founded in 1893, the Country Club of New Canaan is a premier, family-oriented country club in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Known for its warm, close-knit membership, the Club offers exceptional social and sports programming alongside top-tier amenities, including:
- An 18-hole Willie Park Jr. golf course hosting 17,000 annual rounds
- Racquet facilities: 7 Har-Tru tennis courts, 4 new pickleball courts, 4 paddle courts, and squash courts

About the Position
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is a key member of the Executive Team, supporting the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of Club operations, including dining, events, housekeeping, maintenance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational excellence in service, culinary offerings, and facilities.
- Act as a central leader, fostering team collaboration.
- Step in as acting GM when needed, managing all operations.
- Plan and execute private events, ensuring seamless member experiences.
- Enhance cocktail and wine programs to elevate beverage offerings.
About the Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional with at least six years of experience, including three in a managerial role within private clubs or high-end hospitality. Key qualities include:

- Hospitality Expertise: Passionate about food, wine, and high-end service with strong beverage knowledge.

A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred, along with active pursuit of professional certifications like CCM.
