Job Summary: Maintain the appearance of the school campus including athletic fields during the summer months. Provide a safe, orderly, sanitary environment, conducive to learning, for all students and faculty during the school year.

Position Information:

* Full-Time with benefits

* Range 7, $15.02/hour

* 8 hours/day, 261 days/year

* Maintain the grounds during the summer months by performing such duties as mowing, painting, trimming bushes/trees/shrubs, planting, weeding flowerbeds, mulching, etc.

* Assist Groundskeeper to ensure athletic fields are prepared for games and events.

* Assist Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate trash can set up/removal along with press box and locker room cleaning.

* Ensure assigned building area is cleaned and maintained as per instruction from the Building Custodial Supervisor, during winter months.

* Perform minor maintenance/repairs such as replacing toilet closets and light ballasts, fixing electrical outlets/switches, fixing drinking fountains, replacing air filters, etc.

* Assist with the set-up/tear-down of any special events such as sporting, musical, etc.

* Maintain communication with other custodians to assist them in areas where needed.

* Ensure outside groups report to appropriate areas and have what they need when using the facilities.

* Maintain availability to remove snow when necessary.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance/Custodial Supervisor

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required

* Some experience in custodial work preferred

* Three (3) years' experience in the grounds and landscape environment preferred

* Knowledge and understanding of various groundskeeper equipment and supplies is necessary

* Must possess valid Pennsylvania driver's license

* Submission of PA State Police Criminal History Check (PATCH)

* Submission of FBI Criminal Background Check

* Submission of PA Child Abuse History Clearance

* Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
