Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION PURPOSE: To partner with campus leaders in the development and implementation of resources which assist in the teaching of God's Word and cultivation of a Biblical worldview in the lives of its staff and students in grades 7-12. This role will include elements of curriculum development, implementation and ongoing review, as well as a dedicated focus on school wide spiritual development for students and faculty. DIRECT REPORT: Pastor of Theology and DiscipleshipPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the Pastor of Theology and Discipleship as well as the Bible instructors on curation of current CPA Bible standards and current curriculum grades 7-12
- Work with key stakeholders (teachers and building administrators) on curriculum development, implementation, and ongoing curriculum review and revision
- Assisting teachers in the unit planning for their content areas to integrate reformed theological principles into the curriculum
- Ensure curriculum content uses age-appropriate content to teach reformed theological principles in the Middle and Upper School levels
- Ensure the approach to Christian worldview integration in the classroom is helping students develop critical thinking skills which leads to life application
- Develop ongoing professional development for teachers 7-12 on worldview integration and to foster student's discovery of unique design and divine purpose
- Develop pathways for students to take greater ownership for their need of Jesus, the promise of the gospel, and how to walk with Him for a lifetime
- Assess and evaluate the programmatic experiences that foster spiritual development and maturity.
- Assist in integration of Restoration Thinking model in instruction 7-12
- Own and ensure a chapel schedule is created by school for the school year
- Partner with appropriate stakeholders on chapel creation and execution
- Partner with appropriate stakeholders to develop and refine parent resources for CPA's biblical and theological positions on issues of faith and culture including how to's for engaging your children on the topics
- Identify and coordinate guest speakers and training on various topics relating to the spiritual life of the school or bible curriculum integration
- Give in-class support and coaching as needed to teachers using designated curricula. This may include coaching teachers on strategies, help connecting teachers to outside speakers, help to obtain resources that may be needed for implementation, and assistance if needed in leading classroom activities and lessons
RequirementsQualifications and Requirements:Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field required
- Masters Degree in Education or M.Div. highly valued
- Formal theological training required
- A minimum of 5 years of classroom experience preferred
