We are hiring an experienced Assistant Household Manager for a private estate and residence in Washington, D.C., supporting a UHNW family. Onsite role.Role Overview:Reporting to the Household Operations Manager, the Assistant Household Manager ensures seamless service for the family and guests, supporting both household and event needs. Key responsibilities include household cleaning management, event support, and wardrobe care.Core Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping Oversight: Manage cleanliness of main residence and offices; oversee and guide vendors to meet family preferences; handle laundry and inventory.
- Wardrobe Management: Oversee care, procurement, and packing of the principal's wardrobe, maintaining impeccable standards and inventory.
- Event Service: Provide formal dining and beverage service, assist with table settings and guest accommodations, and coordinate with the culinary team for exceptional event experiences.
- Vendor & Staff Coordination: Supervise contractors and assist with quality control; handle scheduling, inspections, and periodic maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in hospitality or service
- UHNW experience strongly preferred (private estates, estate management, yachts, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits; adept with MS Office
- Availability for occasional travel (up to 20%) and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Skills Needed:
- High proficiency in service etiquette, confidentiality, and discretion
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle a dynamic environment with varied daily tasks
- Spanish Fluency preferred
