Previous coaching experience is preferred but not required. The assistant coach must be organized, hard-working, and demonstrate a strong desire to help build a program at all levels. The assistant coach will help oversee all phases of the baseball program including, but not limited to, player development, monitoring academic success, staff development and mentoring, college recruiting process, community relations, and equipment inventory. The successful candidate will provide leadership to the team that achieves academic and athletic success on a consistent basis. The assistant coach will help monitor academic progress; help develop training programs that are safe and effective for student-athletes; and help schedules games and practices in accordance with school policies. Employment is pursuant upon appropriate background checks and the obtainment of proper CPR, Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion Management Training, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Pupil Activity Supervision Licensure from the Ohio Department of Education.
