Description

Provide leadership, supervision, and organization of a specific interscholastic activity, teaching all aspects of the sport including fundamentals and strategies to individuals or groups. Provide assistance to the head coach.

Requirements

DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:

* take a genuine interest in every student participant by teaching core fundamentals and empowering the improvement of every student-athlete

* demonstrates a clear and consistent focus on creating continuity in the sport from level-to-level and year-to-year

* a willingness to timely communicate with student-athletes, parents, and others about the progress of the individual and team

* modeling and reinforcing professional conduct in adverse situations

* formulate decisions based on the school's mission in relation to the student-athlete and team

* diligence in keeping current with all aspects of the sport, including requirements for coaching certification

* seeking to learn and grow as an advocate for student-athletes and the sport within the school's mission

QUALIFICATIONS TO FILL THE CURRENT ASSIGNMENT:
