YOUR OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting Assistant IT Manager opportunity in our Guymon, OK plant. The Assistant IT Manager is a leadership role that provides technical support services involving software applications, servers, personal computers, LANs, WANs and AS/400 connectivity. Must maintain a working knowledge of current systems and applications software as well as Seaboard Foods policies and procedures and develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with suppliers and customers of information technology. This position is a leadership role along with the IT Manager is responsible for guidance and support of other department staff. May require work at remote locations as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead team in design, install, configure, and troubleshoot IT and technical systems as directed
- Ensure team provides superior help desk support for related systems through tickets or phone - some after-hours support required
- Ensure team maintains basic business devices, mobile phones, tablets, scanners, copiers, printers, fax, etc
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Assist Information Services team with local and remote Microsoft Windows support
- Coordinate with staff at various levels within the Company and with vendors and consultants as directed and act as backup to IT Manager as needed
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Lead, mentor and train department employees
- Provide after-hours support and project work as needed
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, trainees and the general public
- Work with various teams in support of business and Information Technology projects
- Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations
- Knowledge of current business practices and accounting principles used within the Pork Industry
- Other related duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS (Please specify Required v. Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or technical degree preferred
- 7+ years in an IT support and troubleshooting role or equivalent training
- Thorough understanding of MS Windows, Server, M365 suite of products and other common user software
- Ability to work with/troubleshoot printers, scanners, tablets, PBX and PLC equipment
- Basic understanding of networking, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VPN and Wifi
- Thorough understanding of electronics, PLC's and similar equipment
- Microsoft SQL experience preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently
- Ability to work A, B or C shift
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and on occasion, 100 pounds
