About the role:
The Assistant Laundry Manager is an integral part of the housekeeping team. This position reports to the Director of Housekeeping. The success in this role is in the ability to manage a safe operation, ensure the highest level of quality in our linens and laundry and dry-cleaning products, and enjoy working closely with a hard-working and qualified team of hospitality professionals.
What you will do:
* Plan, inspect, and supervise the laundry/drycleaning operation
* Develop a team with an eye for detail and the ability to inspect all products for quality standards
* Manage discards, maintain par levels for inventories, and establish efficient processes
* Manage the employee uniform program with quality checks, ensuring timely repairs and replacements
* Conduct regular safety inspections and on-going safety training, ensure preventative maintenance schedule is conducted on time
What you bring:
* Previous rooms management experience
* Strong leadership skills in managing a diverse team
* Organization skills, attention to detail and effective communication
