Job Description:

At JFK Airport, you will be responsible for the gastronomic management of our 3 Lufthansa Lounges. As a passionate host, you will manage several hundred guests daily with your team, ensuring an unforgettable lounge experience.Benefits Include:Starting Pay of $38 to $40 per hourResponsibilities:Operations· Responsibility for managing operations and coordinating all activities in the sub-areas (hospitality, culinary, infrastructure).· Ensuring smooth operations through precise coordination of all sub-areas and staff. Continuous monitoring and improvement of daily operational processes.· Ensuring compliance with F&B standards and hygiene regulations, adapted to local conditions.· Assisting in adherence to occupational safety, fire protection regulations, and first aid measures.· Act as the first point of contact for our client at the airport. Create a strong relationship through regular and open communication.Administration· Responsible management of all operational cost factors, including material use, purchasing, implementation of agreed services, and staff· Precise budget monitoring to ensure all financial resources are efficiently utilized to achieve the economic goals of the location.· Ensuring effective operations through needs-based personnel planning.· Representing and enforcing operational interests by initiating and leading negotiations with service providers and suppliers.· Advising management, especially on operational process matters.· Ensuring compliance with audit, hygiene, quality, aviation security, and occupational safety regulations.Infrastructure:· Managing all projects related to the new construction or renovation of lounges in close coordination with involved partners.· Coordinating technical installations in lounges, as well as interface management with other involved companies and clients.Employee Management· Selection and hiring of new employees, conducting employee evaluations, and initiating staff development measures for subordinate employees. Setting and monitoring department goals in collaboration with subordinate employees.· Leading employees through recognition and acceptance to achieve operational requirements. Participating in employee evaluations and, if necessary, initiating disciplinary measures.Taking on other reasonable tasks as directed by the supervisor.Requirements· Completed business and/or gastronomic training.· Several years of experience in managing gastronomic operations / as an F&B Director (e.g., restaurant, hotel, system catering).· Customer-oriented work and strong communication skills.· In-depth knowledge of business contexts.· Experience in leading and motivating larger teams.· Experience in cost management & budget administration.· Structured working method and high organizational skills.· Experience in project management and confident use of MS Office applications.Personal Qualities· High-quality awareness and attention to detail.· Team player with assertiveness and empathy.· Independence, initiative, flexibility, and resilience.Minimum Essential Functions:Must be able to remain standing for 50% of the timeThe person in this position will be required to move about the kitchen area from station to station.Frequently move trays and stacks of dishes, pots, pans weighing up to 50 pounds.The person in this position frequently communicates with employees to give instructions. Must be able to exchange accurateinformation in these situations.Work Environment:Work near others.
