Position Description:
The Restaurant General Manager (RGM) has overall responsibility for managing daily operations of a single restaurant (10-45 employees), ensuring delivery on guest satisfaction, and ensuring desired restaurant outcomes (i.e., increased sales, profitability, and employee retention). The RGM leads the restaurant management team and oversees the financial controls, operations, people development, guest service and BKC compliance within the restaurant across all shifts. An RGM should be able to work long and/or irregular shifts, including extra shifts, as needed, for proper functioning of the restaurant.

Position Duties:
• Ensure team provides outstanding service and satisfied guests.
• Hire, train, and coach the restaurant team.
• Implement restaurant controls, especially cash & inventory.
• Frequent contact, both inside and outside the restaurant, with the public, businesses, and various community organizations to develop and improve the restaurant's public relations.
• Meet standards for speed of service, food safety, and cleanliness.
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and ensure all equipment is clean and maintained.
• Work all shifts (breakfast, lunch, dinner, late night & weekends) each week. Work at least one (1) full weekend each period.
• Set an example by maintaining an excellent working knowledge and high level of proficiency in restaurant operations.
• Follow all government regulations, employment law, food safety, operations policies and cash policies, and implement all accounting controls.
• Supervise in accordance with SDG Restaurants values, traits, and behaviors.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management about plans, progress, and problems.
• Successfully implement all marketing promotions.
• Participate in the implementation of company policies, standards, training and management development.
Position Requirements:
• Minimum six (6) months of Assistant Manager experience in a restaurant or retail setting
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to perform under pressure in a high-volume setting
• Must have reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
• Must be at least 18 years of age & authorized to work in the US
• ServSafe certification preferred
