Position Summary

Assistant Manager of Labor Resource Operations will be responsible for assisting the manager in planning and developing the Observer Program for ECU health. Th AM will assist the manager in day-to-day operations of the Observer Program for ECU Health. This may require travel to all hospitals in the ECU health system. Will function as a liaison between unit managers and the Observer Program.

Responsibilities

* Leads interviews and selection of new nonclinical staff.

* Oversees scheduling, education, productivity management and time approvals on scheduling system.

* Oversees payroll of the Observer Program.

* Oversees staff development and education for non-clinical staff.

* Conducts performance appraisals on non-clinical staff in chain of command.

* Takes call as needed on a rotational basis for the Observer Program including Video Monitoring.

* Ensures that competencies of staff are current.

* Assists in facilitating staff meetings.

* Coordinate, plan, organizes and performs data analysis for ECU health system Observer Program to include data collection and graphing of data.

* Analyzes data collected from staff to verify for completeness and accuracy.

* Develops methods to publicize impact of the Observer Program within the Health System and community.

* Maintains knowledge of staffing for ECU Health to facilitate meeting the Observer needs of inpatient units.

* Participates in chart and database reviews for quality improvement.

* Performs special projects as requested.

* Serves as a staff resource to answer questions about the Observer Program, Observer staffing and data collection related to the Observer Program.

* Serves as a communication agent between unit leadership, Observers and the staffing office.

* Trouble shoots and resolves problems with expertise.

Minimum Requirements

* Associate degree or higher

* 5 years or more experience in Health informatics and Technology

* Must have working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Share Point, Power Bi and staffing systems
