By fostering clear communication with the corporate team and onsite clients, the Assistant Manager drives operational excellence, maintains high standards in food quality and safety, and supports a collaborative, professional work environment that prioritizes customer satisfaction and team development.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee all day-to-day operations, including scheduling, staffing, and adjusting for unexpected absences or vacancies.
- Responsible for full employee life cycle including but not limited to: hiring, training, retention, payroll functions, disciplinary measures and ensuring employees are following all policies and procedures
- Supervise food production processes, dining services, and sanitation practices to ensure quality and safety compliance.
- Manage inventory, including procurement and maintenance of food, beverages, cleaning supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with food preparation and service during peak hours.
- Define staff responsibilities, set performance goals, and provide timely feedback to employees.
- Conduct inspections of food preparation and storage areas to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), making updates to enhance process effectiveness.
- Monitor customer feedback and recommend improvements to menus, quality, and venue layout.
- Coordinate promotions, ensuring marketing materials are effectively deployed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve product issues and operational concerns.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by enforcing sanitation and food safety regulations.
- Lead organizational change initiatives and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Other duties as assigned to reach individual and organizational goals.

- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve operational challenges.
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and implement innovative solutions.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent (or experience in place of high school diploma)
- Previous experience in food production, recipe adherence and cooking
- Three years previous experience in a fast paced supervisory or managerial restaurant role preferred
- HACCP and Servsafe training/certification preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Extensive computer use
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
SCOPE AND DIRECTION
- Reports to: Director of Restaurants and Cafes
- Direct Reports: This position has direct reports
- FLSA Status: Exempt
- Rate of Pay: $58,500 - 60,000
