The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in international litigation, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strategic mindset.Experience: 3+ plus years of experience in a Managing Attorneys OfficeSalary:140,000 160,000Monday Friday (3 Days in office / 2 Days Remote)Location: New York, NYPosition: Assistant Managing AttorneyType: Full TimeAssist the Managing Attorney in analyzing complex procedural and strategicissues in state and federal courts across the country for the Firms attorneys andparalegals.
  • Manage assignments for, with and among the Managing Attorneys Office 8 law clerks in the service filing of legal documents in court according to Firm and court procedures;
  • Examine filings as to form and procedural content;
  • Support the Firms attorneys in gaining admissions to various courts and assist with keep track thereof as well as assisting with the tracking of any applicable renewal deadlines;
  • Inform attorneys and legal assistants regarding electronic filing procedures and rules and communicate to them the status of electronic filing assignments in an expedient manner;
  • Interact with court employees to discuss issues relating to court procedures and develop working relationships with court personnel;
  • Correspond clearly with attorneys, legal assistants and others regarding court filings and service of documents;
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
  • J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school, as well as currently be in admitted and in good standing with the Bar of the State of New York.
  • 3+ years prior experience in a Managing Attorneys or Managing Clerks Office is preferred but suitable experience as a practicing litigator may be substituted;
  • Knowledge of court procedures, service requirements and filing requirements (including but not limited to the Fed. Rules of Civil Pro., Fed. Rules of App. Pro., NY CPLR and other various state and federal courts rules;
  • Knowledge of and prior filing experience with filing systems and procedures in various state and federal courts;
  • Excellent organizational skills and have strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to collaborate with others and have a strong client service focus;
