We pride ourselves in continually seeking motivated team members who believe guest service is the top priority.Job Overview:The Assistant Marina Manager will work closely with the Marina Manager in overseeing all aspects and operations of the Marina. What you'll be doing:
- Provide guidance and leadership to marina teams.
- Ensure the marina operates in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, as well as TPG Marinas policies and procedures.
- Ensure the property and equipment are properly maintained.
- Ensures and operations are conducted, and conditions are maintained to minimize risk and claims. Assist with managing insurance claims.
- Build and maintain relationships with ownership/client.
- Intervention on customer services issues and complaints as needed.
- Assist in any operation where a temporary staff shortage creates a problem.
- Attend and participate in industry events as required by TPG Marinas.
- Take charge and direct function of all personnel in connection with all emergencies when needed.
- Any other duties as assigned by Marina Manager, General Manager or TPG Marinas.
Work Schedule: Hourly position with varying days and times; on call for all emergencies and storms.What you bring:
- Minimum 2 years experience managing marinas
- Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal laws.
- Collaborative management and comfortability with communicating with leadership.
- Accounts payable oversite experience.
- Commitment to customer service.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines. The work involves exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, dirt, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. The exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following basic safety precautions and use of applicable protective equipment. This is a seasonal position with work available from mid-May through Columbus Day. Team Meals & Employee housing available (dormitory style).
