We strive to ensure that all graduates realize their potential through hard work and an exceptional education that is unimpeded by irrational self-doubt or societal biases.The Assistant Men's Soccer Coach is responsible for assisting the development, coaching, organization and management of the Sports program. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and retention of current team members.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the recruitment of prospective student-athletes and retention of current student-athletes.
  • Assist in the safety and well-being of team members and supervision of assistant coaches and student-managers with whom they work.
  • Assist in the teaching and developing athletic compliance with:
    • NCAA Division III,
    • United East Conference,
    • Instructions from the SEU Athletic Trainer, and
    • SEU rules and regulations, including the timely filing of any paperwork, reports and/or reimbursement requests.
  • Assist in the fundraising projects and other programs sponsored by the Athletic Department.
  • Assist in maintaining all sports equipment.
  • Assist with game day management.
  • Assist with study hall and maintain academic standards set by the head coach and SEU.
  • QualificationsBachelor's Degree and previous, successful coaching and recruiting experience at the collegiate level preferred. Frequent travel is also required (including nights and weekends).The successful candidate must also possess:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
    • Recruiting experience,
    • Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
    • CPR/AED Certification,
    • First Aid Certification, and a
    • Valid Driver's License
