Job Description:

Limestone University invites applications for a full-time position Assistant Men's Soccer Coach.

Position Summary

The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in all facets of program management, emphasizing excellence in international recruiting, program development, and compliance with institutional and NCAA/NCCAA regulations. Key responsibilities include recruiting talented student-athletes globally, with a focus on Spanish-speaking regions, leveraging an MBA in Sports Business to effectively manage program operations and strategic planning. Additional duties involve student-athlete training, academic monitoring, organizing recruiting schedules and visits, traveling to evaluate prospects, contributing to practice planning, developing scouting reports, coordinating fundraising efforts, and organizing summer camps and clinics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Foster a culture of compliance within the program, ensuring adherence to NCAA, NCCAA, and institutional policies.

* Oversee practice and competition preparation, contributing to training, game strategy, and player development.

* Lead international recruiting efforts, with a strong emphasis on Spanish-speaking countries, utilizing Spanish language proficiency to build global relationships and attract top talent.

* Organize and execute recruiting schedules, including international travel and evaluation of prospective student-athletes.

* Manage program logistics, including budgeting, scheduling, and strategic planning, applying advanced knowledge gained from an MBA in Sports Business.

* Promote academic success by monitoring and mentoring student-athletes.

* Develop and implement fundraising initiatives and assist in summer camp planning and operations.

* Maintain comprehensive administrative oversight, including scouting, reporting, compliance, and promotional activities.

* Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May oversee Assistant Coaches, ensuring alignment with program goals and institutional standards.

Competencies

* In-depth knowledge of the NCAA, NCCAA, and conference regulations and policies.

* Proven expertise in international recruiting, particularly in Spanish-speaking countries.

* Strong administrative, organizational, and program development skills.

* Effective communication abilities in English and Spanish, fostering strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.

* Advanced strategic and operational planning skills, supported by an MBA in Sports Business.

Qualifications

* Education and Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree, with at least two (2) years of collegiate coaching experience at the NCAA Division I, II, or III levels. An MBA in Sports Business is highly preferred.

* Language Skills: Proficiency in English & Spanish is required, with the ability to effectively communicate in both written and spoken formats across multiple settings.

* Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to adapt quickly to new software programs.

* Travel Requirements: Frequent travel for competition, recruiting, and related program activities.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical activity consistent with athletic training, as well as office-based administrative tasks. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.

Work Environment

Work is divided between athletic facilities and an office setting, with significant time spent on-site for practice, games, and athlete development activities.
