Purpose: The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Wholesale Merchandising team and collaborates with the Merchandiser to manage daily operations. This role requires strong organizational and analytical skills, and an eye for relevant trends, to support the brand and achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data integrity in systems and published documentation (including BBR, SAP & NuOrder, Aspire). Specifically entering and maintaining accurate pricing. Requesting hangtags.
  • Assists with planning and executing pricing strategies in accordance with fiscal responsibilities, maximizing sales, and meeting margin targets.
  • Assist with Market and Meeting Preparation: Check in samples and organize them for SRS meetings, follow up with the Production team on missing samples and prepare design boards and other materials for major meetings. (including color swatches, reference samples, updated line sheets).
  • Assist in the development of assortment plans.
  • Manage samples: Organize samples by season for business meetings, closet archive, e-commerce photo-shoots and sample sales.
  • Competitive Patterning: Assist in monitoring industry trends and in evaluating competition both in-stores and online; track competitor pricing and promotions to ensure alignment; propose ideas to drive our business based on findings.
  • Demonstrate a culture of taking smart risks and innovating to achieve success.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, with a focus in fashion retail, merchandising or buying.
  • 1-2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency, flexibility, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of retail math concepts and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills,
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an emphasis on spreadsheet applications.
  • Open-minded and positive attitude with the ability to collaborate across functions and build relationships.
  • Experience in relationship building and influence skills
  • Ability to think critically while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to regular in-office presence, including engaging in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company's policy.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
  • Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level

The salary range for this position is $27.00 to $32.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the position offered and work experience.
