Primary Purpose:The primary purpose of this position is to assist in the set-up and operation of the Mortiser machine in the manufacturing process of skylight component parts according to production standards and plans.
Primary Responsibilities:- Assist the operator in the set-up and operation of the Mortiser machine.
- Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met
- Performs cleaning and maintaining of 5's practices
- Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision
Standard Work Schedule: 6:00am - 4:30pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $ 20.20 - $21.44
Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Experience in a production environment is required
- Mechanically inclined to set-up, troubleshoot and maintain the Mortiser procedures
- Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position
- Precision measurement as well as using calipers is required
- Understanding of metric measurement system is required
- Experience reading and utilizing blueprints is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- SAP experience preferred
- Must possess good written/oral communication skills
- Must possess good problem solving skills
- Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed
- The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history
