Assistant Operations Manager
Compensation: $1000/week
Job Description:
* Directs activities for organization and operations of load preparation services at a facility by performing the necessary duties personally or through subordinate supervisors
* Other duties as assigned by management
Job Duties (include but not limited too):
* This position requires managing the rail car services moving cars in a Shuttlewagon, as well as bagging and tying down product for transportation
* Handling appropriate paperwork between Plant personnel, jockey drivers, and common carriers with efficient communication and proper procedure
* Interview, hire and train all new associates
* Conduct safety meetings and compliance with all staff
* Maintenance and service of trucks with local vendors required
* Operating the Plant with efficiency and everyones safety as a priority
* Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed daily
* Supervise accurate and timely data entry
* Meeting company metric goals
Qualifications:
* Have a flexible schedule with start and end times; some weekends although rare, may be required
* Ability to train, coach, and lead employees positively
* Strong organization and prioritizing skills
* Ability to multi-task
* The ability to make sound decisions, problem solve, complete work assignments and direct employees in a fast-paced environment
* Trucking experience is preferred
* Manufacturing Plant experience preferred
* Experience in supervision of employees including hiring, training and termination
Physical Requirements:
* Be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
