Job Description:

Basic qualifications are:

* Must be 18 years old

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent

* Must be authorized to work in the US

* One year of manufacturing experience required

* One (1) to three (3) years' experience operating or assisting on production equipment preferred but will train

* Available to work any shift, weekends, holidays and overtime as required

* Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs

* Willing to adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including all PPE requirements

* Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check

Essential job functions are:

* Review work orders and use material handling equipment, overhead crane or fork lift to get material.

* Use material handling equipment, overhead crane or vacuum lift to get material.

* Instrumentally start machine and check hydraulic pumps.

* Charge material through machine with hand controls.

* Crop head/tail scrap off coil.

* Use material handling equipment or manually place scrap on a skid.

* Manually change Shear gap with small hand tools.

* Use micrometers or calipers to check and record gauge width, hardness, burr and surface condition

* Document machine mechanical problems.

Physical Demands:

* May be required to stand for long periods of time

* May involve some repetitive motions

* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

* May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers

* Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold

Requirements:

* Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions

* Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

* Computer skills, data entry, good verbal and written communication skills

* Perform basic visual quality inspections on products

* Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties

* Must be certified or become certified in operation of forklifts and overhead cranes
