Job Summary:
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This role will support various aspects of project controls and reporting, including project change management, cost control, progress measurement, schedule development, and schedule control. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining project data and schedules, contribute to reporting efforts, and ensure adherence to project execution plans. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project set-up in Enterprise Planning & Controls software and maintain project data.
- Help create and manage Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), scheduling reports, cost reports, and forecasts.
- Support project execution plans and assist in reviewing and coding Purchase Orders and Subcontracts.
- Input changes to cost reports, forecasts, and assist with change orders.
- Assist in developing cash flows, project schedules, and applying logic ties and resource loading.
- Help coordinate and update project schedules, distribute reports, and document schedule progress.
- Contribute to the Earned Value Management (EVM) system and verify progress measurements.
- Perform material takeoffs, quality checks, and field audits to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with project controls standards and other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- OR 3+ years of relevant experience in project controls may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience:
- Strong background in scheduling is required.
- Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred.
- OSHA 10-hour safety certification required or the ability to obtain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
