  • Previous management experience is preferred
  • 3-5 years of parts experience
  • At least 3 year of dealership parts experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service and teamwork with fellow associates
  • Always conduct yourself ethically and treat each customer and fellow associates with respect.
  • A high attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly.
  • Enthusiastic presence and ability to smile constantly while with customers.
  • Ask yourself everyday: If I were a customer, what would I want? Then do your best to provide that kind of solution for your customer at every opportunity.
  • Supervise employees engaged in sales work, taking inventories, keeping operating records, or performs work of subordinates as needed.
  • Notify the service technician, shop foreman and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
  • Notify parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Drives team and store performance in maintaining all department metric goals
Responsibilities of the Assistant Parts Manager:As one of our Assistant Parts Manager you will join a strong team of professionals who support our retail customers, wholesale customers and internal staff. Key responsibilities include:
  • Greet customers immediately once they walk up to the parts department.
  • Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Answers phone calls promptly, providing price quotes and other information.
  • Ability to communicate customer's interests, needs and requests to management and sales personnel.
  • Pulls and fills orders from stock; then replenishes inventory daily.
  • Follows up on back-ordered parts.
  • Ensures all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
  • Receives payment from retail customers or obtains credit authorization.
  • Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
  • Keeps orderly records of all repair orders, invoices, insurance estimates, and special order parts.
  • Keeps current on new products and product updates.
  • Coaches and develops associates
