The Assistant Patient Care Coordinator in Medicine 7W is responsible for the operational management of the assigned Nursing Unit in collaboration with physician leadership, participates in the strategic planning for the department. Has accountability for nursing services on the applicable shift.Provides professional nursing care to people of all ages and their families. Utilizes knowledge of nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate and document care. Formulates nursing diagnosis for treating actual or potential health problems, teaching, counseling and providing care. Delegates appropriate tasks to assistive nursing personnel. Displays professional practice as set forth in The Brooklyn Hospital Center's standard of care, and the institution's mission and goals.
