Job Description: As a Payroll Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the payroll department by ensuring that employee payroll is processed accurately and on time. You will verify payroll data, maintain payroll records, and assist with employee inquiries. If you're organized, have strong attention to detail, and are familiar with payroll processes, we'd love to meet you! The pay range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other places may differ based on the labor cost in that location. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of employee payroll.
  • Review and verify timesheets, attendance, and wage data.
  • Process payroll changes, such as new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Maintain organized payroll records and employee information.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and tax filings.
  • Stay updated on federal and state payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred).
  • 2-3 years of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Experience with Dayforce, formerly Ceridian, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
