Job Summary
Position will be responsible for assisting the Controller with the financial evaluation of various strategic and operational initiatives. Responsible for accuracy of the plants financial statements including, valuation of the inventory and cost of production in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for monitoring daily operational activities to ensure accuracy of the financial information entered into the local and global ERP Systems. Analyze and interpret information to look for trends to reduce costs and harmonize financial information in the current ERP environment.
Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
* Assisting the Controller develop the annual plant budget and quarterly forecasts. 1) P&L, EBIT 2) All plant department budgets (headcount and expenses) 3) Plant wide capital budgets.
* Create and maintain analysis of actual monthly plant performance to track and measure financial and operational performance.
* Lead and Develop projects that lead to cost savings through trends seen in the financial information at the facility.
* Create and maintain daily operational and financial information ensuring accuracy of entry into the local ERP system.
* Responsible for presenting data and financial information in a clear and concise manner to management through presentations.
* Responsible for accurate and timely completion of monthly financial close while using innovative methods to streamline and simplify and maintain corporate reporting systems.
* Provides analysis of the plants actual and planned performance to achieve budgeted/forecasted goals.
* Help maintain and introduce Fresenius Kabi standards throughout the Melrose Park facility.
* Helps maintain and create standard costs.
* Helps maintain internal accounting reports that appraise management of the plants activity.
* Safeguarding plant assets through development and implementation of procedures to ensure that transactions are recorded in accordance with both corporate policy and GAAP.
* Build and lead teams to analyze and solve complex business issues and problems
* Build and maintain productive relationships with and is effective in collaborating with all levels of management
* Build consensus with respect to analyzing and solving problems, while able to effectively and professionally push back on others in the spirit of driving excellence
* Monitor changes in business processes, information systems, management and operations, and accordingly initiates projects and directs activities elsewhere to address emerging risks to the company
* Fill in for the controller as needed.
* All employees are responsible for ensuring the compliance to company documents, programs and activities related to the Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and Quality Management Systems, as per your roles and responsibilities
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA, CPA, CMA a plus.
* Requires 5 years' experience in progressively challenging accounting/finance positions.
* Possesses knowledge of controlling, financial and operational analysis, cost accounting, inventories, GAAP, computer systems and SAP.
* Must be proficient with SAP and Excel as well as knowledgeable in all other Microsoft Office applications. Power Bi, Macros, Tableau and other data analysis / visualization software are a plus.
* Must be able to effectively communicate with all organizational levels.
* Must have Experience Managing Capex Projects
