Job Description:

**Job Summary:** The Assistant Controller at our manufacturing facility plays a crucial role in overseeing financial management and providing direction to the Finance team in collaboration with the Controller. Responsibilities include managing all financial operations, such as cash flow, accounts receivable, inventory management, capital assets, accounts payable, and related accruals and receivables. Acting as a strategic partner, the Assistant Controller contributes to decision-making processes by furnishing accurate and timely financial information to the management team. Additionally, they spearhead initiatives to identify, evaluate, and implement cost-saving projects aimed at enhancing overall profitability.

**Required Education and Experience:**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.

+ Completion of a recognized Account Designation.

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant industry.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.

+ Experience with computerized manufacturing accounting systems is preferred.

+ Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards.

+ Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Excellent communication skills in English, both written and oral.

+ Experience working with relevant systems and software.

**Essential Functions:**

+ Collaborate with the Controller to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business and provide accurate financial information to the management team.

+ Actively participate in operational meetings and regularly observe production processes to establish a connection between operations and financial data.

+ Educate and train departmental managers on financial implications and budget adherence.

+ Maintain bill of materials (BOM) accuracy and completeness, working closely with cross-functional teams.

+ Analyze proposed BOM changes and conduct relevant studies to enhance accuracy.

+ Prepare monthly variance reports and engage with relevant stakeholders to align program costs.

+ Assist in annual budget preparation and identify operational inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

+ Oversee accounts receivable aging and proactively manage collections.

+ Support annual audits, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

+ Provide assistance for capital spending projects, including financial analysis and approval processes.

+ Lead inventory management processes, including physical counts and valuation.

+ Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of relevant systems and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and possesses strong leadership and analytical skills to drive financial performance and operational excellence within the organization.

**Pay Details:** $115,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
