ITS has a client in the Montezuma, IA area seeking an Assistant Plant Controller. This is a direct hire role with full benefits including 401k!

Role SummaryResponsible for controlling the financial activities and financial information system of Williamsburg Manufacturing. Additionally, to supply management with accurate and timely data regarding the financial performance of the division.Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate financial / operational results and provide management with information for effective planning and audit of the organization.• Complete month end journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, month end financial reports including rolls from budget / forecast to actual and other various financial measurements.• Analyze and interpret actual performance to plan, explain key variances, and make recommendations for action.• Track and report weekly key performance indicators including direct labor, indirect labor, and overhead analysis. • Assist with completing / reviewing / auditing annual audit and tax packages. • Interface with suppliers and financial sources as required• Review and audit inventory cycle counts completed on a weekly basis.• Review / audit standard costs and production performance vs standard costs.• Complete projects as needed related to manufacturing accounting at plant, division, and corporate levels.• Assist in preparation of Division Business Plan (budget) and quarterly forecasts.• Heavy focus on managing the continuous improvement goals, projects, activities, and performance.• Cross train, audit, and review accounting functions with other staff in the accounting dept.• Handle confidential information on a regular basisEducation

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Accounting, with minimum 5 years' experience in accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Experience• Analyzing and planning capital tooling projects• Experience working within a corporate environment• Proficient in use of computer software programs, including Microsoft Office suite and ERP systems. • Ability to develop, maintain and manipulate complex spreadsheets• Experience with AS400 based computer system and Hyperion and/or database administration preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate a vision, educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions • Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the data processed• Working knowledge of financial and non-financial measurements systems, lean manufacturing practices and cost management systems strongly preferred• Ability to establish goals and guide strategic and operational planning in the finance organization. • Provide assistance as required for quarterly forecast and annual planning processes• Advanced level of knowledge in Excel, Hyperion and IBM I Series ERP systems
